Liza Jane Bernard, Executive Director Bi-College CDO:
Liza Jane received her AB in History of Art at Wilson College and her MEd in
Counseling Psychology at The College of William and Mary. She came to Bryn Mawr
and Haverford Colleges in 1985 when the Colleges created a Bi-Co career
services approach. Having attended a Friends high school and a womens'
college (also with an Honor Code) she finds the Bi-Co community a unique and
extremely rewarding one. Top jobs: Mom, CDO Director, Aquatics Instructor.
Worst Job: picking peaches.

Laura Long Reiter, Assistant Director of Employer Relations Bi-College CDO:
Laura received her B.A. in Geology from The College of Wooster in 1981. She has graduate degrees from Vanderbilt University, (M.S. Geology 1983), The University of Pittsburgh - Katz School of Business (M.B.A 1987), and Widener University (M. Ed., Elementary Education, 2009). She came to Bi-college community in 1997 as Recruiting Coordinator for the Selective Liberal Arts Consortium and is glad to expand her service to the Bi-Co CDO in the Employer Relations role. Prior to coming to the CDO, Laura worked with the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Chicago and Atlanta as a federal program evaluator and in HR. Laura is active in youth ministry at Reformation Lutheran Church and founded a lending library there. Laura enjoys gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, grown-up son and daughter and her two rowdy dogs.

Joseph Eckrich, Information Manager Bi-College CDO: Joseph received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Mangagement Information Systems from Widener University.

Michaile E. Rainey, Director:
Michaile received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the College of the
Holy Cross and her Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College Graduate
School of Social Work. She was the recipient of the Child Welfare Diversity Training
Grant at Boston College. Michaile comes to Bryn Mawr from her post as Director of
The Women's Center at Lincoln University. Prior to that she was applying her
training in social work in the fields of child welfare, behavioral health and
healthcare. Her most rewarding jobs thus far are wife, mother, daughter, sister
and friend. Favorite quote: "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow
belongs to those who prepare for it today." (Malcolm X)

John F. Tuton Ph.D., Alumnae Career Counselor:
A life-long resident of Philadelphia, John has over 30 years experience as an organizational psychologist, executive coach and career consultant. He received his bachelor's degree in English and Anthropology from Temple University in 1971 and, after teaching at Germantown Friends School for four years, attended Bryn Mawr, where he earned his doctorate in Human Development in 1982. After graduating from Bryn Mawr, Dr. Tuton began his consulting career at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for the Study of Adult Development (CSAD), where he created and directed employee assistance programs in the public and private sectors. When CSAD became Integra, Inc., he was promoted to Director of Assessment Programs. Dr. Tuton left Integra in 1986 to join Manchester Inc. as a vice president in their Management Development division, and after a four-year tenure there, became the principal of his own consulting firm. In 1994 he merged his practice with RHR International, where his services included management assessment, executive coaching and organizational design and development. He returned to independent practice in 2001, and since 2004 has also served as a career counselor at the University of Pennsylvania's Office of Career Services.
John has many outside interests. He is actively involved in his church, has been a performing musician for many years, and has recently pursued an interest in furniture-making, which he constructs from driftwood, stone and other natural materials.

Jennifer S. Beale, Career Counselor / Pre-Law Advisor:
Jennifer received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University and M.S.Ed in Psychological Services/Counseling at University of Pennsylvania. For her first job she worked at a center city non-profit (Philadelphia Futures) helping neighborhood high school students achieve their goal of attending and completing college which is where she developed an interest in educational counseling. She began her career in the field of Career Counseling at the CDO in a temporary position in 2006, has worked in a similar capacity at two other institutions (USP & Villanova) and is delighted to be working with the bi-co community again. She loves the outdoors, food, traveling and most importantly time with her family & friends.

Dolores Burdo, Program Assistant:
Dolores has been with Bryn Mawr College since August 1999 starting as a Faculty Secretary
and then moving to the Provost's Office before joining the Career Development
Office in 2005. She received the prestigious McPherson Award for Excellence from the college in 2004.
Prior to working at Bryn Mawr, Dolores held positions with PECO Energy,
Continental Can Company, the Lower Merion School District, and St. Matthias Church.
In addition to her work responsibilities, Dolores is Certified in Liturgy and Music from
St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, and plans and provides music for
various liturgical celebrations in several churches. She is a member of the
Association of Church Musicians in Philadelphia and was a Board member
for the organization from 1995-2004.
Haverford College
- Amy M. Feifer, Director: Amy received her bachelor's degree in Classics from
Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and her master's degree
in Psychological Services from the School of Education at the University
of Pennsylvania. She has been fortunate to work in CDO since February
1989, enjoying working with students, alumni, employers and colleagues.
Previous colleges where she worked includes: Rosemont College in Admissions;
UPenn as a graduate intern, and Franklin and Marshall College in Career
Services. She has been very active in our professional associations,
both on the regional and national level, serving as President for
Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE), and chairing
several committees for the National Association of Colleges and Employers
(NACE). Proudest Recent Achievements: paticipating in The Breast Cancer
3-Day 60 mile Walk, and
receiving the Distinguished Service Award from EACE.

Jennifer Barr, Associate Director / Pre-Law Advisor:
Jennifer received her BA from Shippensburg University in 1994 and a
Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Study/Higher Education
from Temple University in 1996. She joined Bryn Mawr and Haverford
Colleges in 1998 after working in Student Activities and Deans offices
for three years after graduate school. Top job? Career Counselor in the
CDO: Great atmosphere, interesting (and fun!) students, and rewarding work.
Worst Job? Paper girl for the Philadelphia Inquirer...it lasted 5 days and
ruined her banana-seat bike.

Emmy Robinson, Administrative Assistant:
Emmy has worked in the Career Development Office since 1996. Prior to that she
worked at Bryn Mawr College in the Resources Office and for TV Guide in Human
Resources.
