Career Development Office - Pre-Law Advising

Resume

You should submit a professionally polished resume as part of your Law School Application. If you are in school or just a few years out, it is recommended that you keep to a ONE PAGE RESUME. The Career Development Office offers resume critiques. Please use this service to ensure that yours looks its best. To get started, please see the CDO's resume samples here or drop by the office.

Transcripts

Transcripts from any institution past high school that you have attended are almost always required.
For Bryn Mawr Transcripts go to: http://www.brynmawr.edu/registrar/transcripts.html
For Haverford Transcripts go to: http://www.haverford.edu/registrar/Transcript_Request_Info.html

Please make note if you have additional transcripts from transferring or study abroad:

  • If you study a full year abroad, you must have your transcript sent and it will count towards your GPA.
  • If you spent a semester or less abroad, it does not count officially towards your GPA, if you feel the grades are important to your application however, you can scan a copy of the transcript and submit it as an addendum on LSAC.
  • If you transferred from another institution, have a transcript from that school sent to LSAC.
  • For more on transcripts, please go to http://www.lsac.org/Applying/lsdas-requesting-transcripts.asp
