Where to Find Job & Internship Postings
- OCEAN
Permanent entry level opportunities for students are posted in
OCEAN (On-line Career Exploration And Network).
Opportunities posted by employers participating in our Recruiting Program (On Campus Interviews or Resume Referral) require application through OCEAN and specific information will be evident in the application process for each posting. Student participation in The CDO Recruiting Program requires completion of the on-line Recruiting Orientation 48 hours prior to submitting applications. Please be sure to complete your OCEAN profile including fields of interest to receive event and opportunity email announcements targeted to your interests.
- Internships
There are many ways to identify internship opportunities. Browsing databases for opportunities of interest is often the first method suggested to get oriented to "possibilities." This link will take you to our page listing the LACN database of internships where CDO houses internships posted to us or we have mined with our students' interests in mind as well as databases that we subscribe to or have identified to be particularly relevant to bi-co student interests.
Please employ CDO services (search workshops, personal , employer info sessions, etc.) to help you customize your search for internships related to your interests. Researching related employers and designing successful networking and outreach are the next and critical steps in securing an internship.

Students need to contact/apply directly to the indicated person for a position for which they wish to be considered. *** During the first two weeks of the first semester, all campus employers are asked to give preference to student applicants who have a job as part of the College Grant Financial Aid Package. It is particularly important and crucial for STUDENTS WHO HAVE A JOB AS PART OF THEIR COLLEGE GRANT FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE TO START THE JOB SEARCH EARLY AND TO APPLY FOR JOBS DURING THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF THE SEMESTER!
