On-Campus Interviews: The normal recruiting schedule is composed of 13 half-hour interviews. Please check our web-based system regularly to determine the number of students on your schedule and the times of the interviews. One interviewing room will be assigned for each schedule. If room is needed for audio-visual presentations, testing, or group meetings, please notify Laura Reiter, Employer Relations. To provide recruiters with an appreciation of both campuses, we alternate from year to year your visits between the campuses.
Selection of Candidates: You may pre-select the students for your schedule or have open schedules, where students sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. If you pre-select, students interested in interviewing with you will submit their resumes online. These can be viewed and printed from the experience.com website. We request that you make your selection of 13 students and 2 alternates for each schedule ten days before your interview date. Students will be automatically contacted through email and instructed to go into experience.com to select a time slot. If you choose an open schedule, students will begin to sign up on-line for interviews two weeks before your on-campus interview date. You will be able to retrieve these resumes with your experience.com password. We strongly enourage employers to record a decision, on eRecruiting, for each student.
Information Sessions: Group information sessions are usually held in the evening after the dinner hour. If you are interested in having an information session, please contact Laura Reiter.
Resume Referrals: If you are not able to come to campus but would like to review resumes of our students, we can arrange that for you. With our Resume Referral service, students can submit resumes on experience.com. Employers will be provided with a password to view these resumes and all supporting materials. Any subsequent interviews are usually arranged between the employer and the candidate and conducted at the employer's location. We would also be pleased to arrange for on-campus interviews.
Employer Literature: We encourage all employers to use experience.com to provide information about your organization to the students, as well as links to your website. If you are still interested in sending literature to campus, we ask that materials be sent six weeks before your on-campus visit or two weeks before your Resume Referral deadline. Please send at least two copies of all information to both Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College.
Luncheon Arrangements: When you are interviewing on campus, a member of our staff would be pleased to join you for lunch. If you would like arrangements for other members of the college community to join you, please let Laura Reiter know.
Newspaper Advertising: Many employers take advantage of the publicity offered through The Bi-College News, the Bryn Mawr and Haverford student newspaper. You can address inquiries to The Bi-College News, Haverford College, Haverford, PA 19041-1392. Once each academic year begins, a phone number is established for the advertising manager. The current number is 610-896-4204.
Communication with Faculty/Staff and Students: We ask that you utilize the Career Development Office as your means of contact with the college community. Please consult us should you wish to send any communications, rather than emailing faculty/staff and students directly.
Commission Based Opportunities: It is the policy of the Career Development Office that those employers wishing to do recruitment for opportunities which are compensated in part or entirely by commission do an On Campus Information Session prior to your resume deadline. This is an important opportunity for our students to learn about your organization and the job in particular. It also allows employers the opportunity to gauge the interest level of our students prior to engaging in a resume collection.
