On Saturday, January 30th at 8 PM, the Department of Music presents Music and Conversation with Michal Schmidt, cello, with Charles Abramovic, piano, in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium. The program will include Bach's Suite No. 1 in G Major for solo cello, Laurence Sherr's Elegy and Vision for cello solo, Beethoven's Sonata for Piano and Cello, Op. 5, No. 2 in G minor, Hindemith's Sonata for Cello Solo Op. 25, No. 3, and Shostakovich's Sonata for Piano and Cello in D minor, Op. 40. This event is free and open to the public.
