Cartoonists Lynda Barry and Eric Drooker will be joining the artists, critics, scholars, and community members taking part in the symposium "Drawing the Line: Comics and the Art of Social Transformation" on Haverford College's campus from October 22-25, 2009.

Members of the tri-college community will have the opportunity to take part in master classes and writing workshops, while members of the public are invited to Eric Drooker's talk on "Street Art and Graphic Novels" on Thursday, October 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Sharpless Auditorium, a panel presentation featuring critics and artists Jared Gardner, Jeet Heer, John Jennings, and Sharon Mizota on Friday, October 23, from 1:30-4 in Chase Auditorium, and Lynda Barry's presentation "Writing the Unthinkable" Friday evening at 7:30 in Sharpless Auditorium, following a reception for Jeanne Finley and John Muse's exhibition.
