DC Swarthmore Room
You are cordially invited to participate in Sharing Your Work / Sharing Your Voice, an OAR-hosted Panel Discussion. In this informal setting, students, faculty, and staff will explore the possibilities and challenges of sharing your work in academic settings, while enjoying apple cider and donuts from Linvilla Orchards.
Tapping straight from the source, students, faculty, and staff from each of the three academic divisions will share their experiences sharing their work with one another -- from the class discussion, to the poster presentation, through the term paper -- focusing specifically on strategies that proved successful, as well as insights gained from past struggles. How do we engage each other in ways that show confidence, though invite critique? What are the feelings that impact, inhibit, and at points enable these transactions? Not intending to land on a Key to Research Presentation, we hope instead to engage the Haverford community (especially its newest members) with the various paths that lead to a well-wrought presentation, the potentials and hiccups of each, and the points of parity amongst them.
