Haverford's encyclopedic Photography Collection of prints, books, magazines and related materials is one of the cultural highlights of the College. Learn about the scope and wealth of these materials from Willie Williams, Audrey A. and John L. Dusseau Professor in the Humanities and Curator of Photography, and James Gulick, Reference Librarian and Fine Arts Bibliographer. Notable highlights from the photographic print and book collection, which spans the history of the medium from its origins in 1839 to the present day will be on display and discussed.
This talk is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community. It should be of particular interest to faculty who use or are thinking about incorporating photography and visual studies into their courses.
