About the film:
Les Sentiers de l’Utopie (2012), or Paths Through Utopias, is a multimedia project created by Isabelle Fremeaux, John Jordan and Kypros Kyprianou that straddles the borders of book and film, documentary and fiction, present and future. The artists travelled across Europe for seven months, investigating different utopian groups and cultures that live outside of a capitalist framework. Seeking to participate in grassroots political movements and climate justice, Les Sentiers de l’Utopie documenting an illegal climate camp set up by Heathrow airport, a group of squatting French art punks, an eco-friendly village in Germany, and other groups of people resisting capitalism and climate change.
