A week of events exhibiting the diversity, energy and creativity of Haverford's Religious, Spiritual, and Faith communities.
Religion and Spirituality on Campus Week is an important time for the Haverford community to come together to celebrate the vibrant faith communities we have on campus, as well as to engage in critical dialogue about the nature of religion to us as individuals, within our community and in the world.
Here are the exciting events for this week:
Friday, Sept. 20, - Sunday, Sept. 22 AVP Advanced Workshop 6 pm Fri - 4:30 pm Sun. MCC: Stokes 106 Pre-requisite: successful completion of the AVP Basic workshop.
Saturday, September 21 Boundless Half-Day Retreat 9 am - 3 pm. Mansion of St. Katharine Drexel Sponsored by the Newman Catholic Campus Ministry.
Saturday, September 21 Christian House Dinner & Discussion 6pm. HCA 23 Civil Rights and Christianity. Good food and good company. All welcome.
Sunday, September 22 Quaker Meeting for Worship 10:30 – 11:30 am. Haverford Meeting, Bucks Lane Open Worship in the manner of Friends Followed by brunch at Quaker House (HCA 50)
Sunday, September 22 Buddhist Practice 2 pm. GIAC Multipurpose Room An introduction to basic Buddhist meditation practice.
Sunday, September 22 Catholic Mass & Welcoming Social Noon. 3rd. Fl. Campus Center Catholic Mass. Coffee & Donuts Social and information about Tri-Co activities

Tuesday, September 24 Lessons on Love and Forgiveness 8-9pm in Campus Center Room 207. Catholic Spiritual Readings."The Cross and the Beatitudes: Lessons on Love and Forgiveness" by Fulton Sheen. (no outside reading required, and books are provided!)
Wednesday, September 25 Quaker Meeting for Worship 10 – 10:30 am. MCC: Stokes 106 An opportunity for reflection and restoration in the silence of corporate worship.
Thursday, September 26 The Body Speaks: a workshop 7 pm. MCC: Stokes 106 An experience of expressive improvisational movement. Facilitated by Marcelle Martin.
Thursday, September 26 Bible Study: The Book of Acts 7 pm. Space TBD Jesus, his resurrection, and what people are to do now that he is in Heaven. Hosted by Haverford Christian Fellowship.
Friday, September 27 A Brown Bag Lunch Talk Noon – 1:30 pm. Quaker Collection, Magill Leadership from Within: Learning from Early Friends. Friend in Residence, Marcelle Martin, shares her research into the travels and ministries of 17th century Quakers.
Friday, September 27 JSU Shabbat Services 6:30 pm. JSU Lounge, Jones basement The Haverford Jewish Student Union invites the community to Shabbat services to share the Friday night prayer service and enjoy a delicious meal together.
Friday, September 27 Praise and Preaching 7:30 pm. Dining Center basement Friday Night Large Group. With Renewal Christian Fellowship mainline college community.
