Through its Faculty/Curricular Support Fund, the Center provides support for any faculty member wishing to integrate global and local issues into their teaching, research and mentoring.
The CPGC can provide funding for a range of projects, including:
- Field trips in conjunction with courses
- Honoraria and travel expenses for outside speakers
- Field research related to both the faculty member's scholarship and the Center's mission
- Attendance at off-campus conferences
Support may be requested to cover expenses for course projects, such as reimbursement for student travel expenses, funds to hire a work-study or graduate student to coordinate internship placements, reimbursement for the purchase of materials, or funds for course-related trips.
All activities must be related to the Center's mission to extend the College's commitment to peace & social justice through research, education & action, and to promote scholarship on critical issues.
Faculty members considering requests for major proposals (> $3,000) are asked to discuss them beforehand with one of the CPGC directors.
