Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program (MMUF) Annual Information Session & Dinner

The MMUF program prepares students for the PhD and for a faculty appointment.
Funded by the Mellon Foundation, the MMUF Program across 50 of the top U.S. universities and colleges, is designed for students interested in pursuing academic careers. The Program seeks to promote greater representation of African American, Latino, and Native American faculty in the U.S. Academy, and to encourage those with a demonstrated commitment to eradicating racial disparities, to pursue Ph.D.s and enter the Professoriate.
The MMUF program provides:
· Intensive mentoring by faculty
· Group programming with peers
· Advising by faculty and graduate students
· Research opportunities
· Financial Support (including academic year stipends, summer stipends, research and conference/workshop travel funds, and undergraduate loan repayment provided you enter into a PhD program in a Mellon Designated Field within 39 months of graduation from undergrad)
Fields supported by MMUF: Anthropology, Area/Cultural/Ethnic/Gender Studies, Art History, Classics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, English, Film/Media Studies, Musicology, History, Linguistics, Literature, Mathematics, Performance Studies, Philosophy and Political theory, Physics and Astronomy, Religion, Sociology, Theater (non performance focus), Interdisciplinary Studies that have one or more Mellon fields at their core.
