A special talk by popular science writer and astrophysicist Dave Goldberg. This talk will be accessible to science nerds and to those "afraid" of science. All welcome!

Description
Professor Dave Goldberg is an astrophysicist and the director of physics undergraduate students at Drexel. He also happens to have written two wildly successful popular books about physics: A User's Guide to the Universe (with Jeff Blomquist, 2010) and The Universe in the Rearview Mirror (2013). Dr. Goldberg has received rave reviews for these fun romps around physics in the world that we all can connect with. He also writes an "Ask an Physicst" column for io9.com and has contributed to Slate.com.
Dave will treat us to a broadly accessible talk about topics of symmetry discussed in his newest book, and how they manifest themselves in the answers to questions such as "Why are past, present and future our only options?" and "Are time and space like a butterfly's wings?"
The author will be available for questions and book signing after the talk.
