Description
The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute is the largest state public health agency in the country devoted specifically to HIV care. The AI has established itself nationally through promoting and building a comprehensive service system that incorporates prevention, health care, and social services for all New Yorkers affected by HIV. TheOffice of the Medical Director (OMD) focuses on formulating and implementing HIV guidelines, monitoring and advocating for the quality of care for people living with HIV and AIDS in New York State, and educating the public about HIV.
