Want to lobby Congress about climate change? Take part in FCNL's Spring Lobbying Weekend and learn how!

Friends Committe on National Legislation, a Quaker-based lobby in Washington, DC, will be hosting their annual Spring Lobby Weekend on March 16-19, . You can help make this the year the government acts to address the climate emergency by helping translate the protests into policy change! The weekend will include briefings on climate science, the importance of action to address carbon pollution and hands on trainings focused on how to lobby. We’ll also hear from Congressional staff and members of Congress before heading to Capitol Hill to lobby. The briefings begin Sunday morning and continue through Monday, with lobbying on Monday and Tuesday.
The Quaker Affairs Office will be sponsoring students interested in attending, and are organizing lodging and transportation. We are expecting that most students will want to attend the Sunday and Monday sessions and be back for class on Tuesday, but students are welcome to attend the whole weekend.
