After our free screening of Saving Hubble, we are hosting free public observing. Amateur astronomers will join us with their own 'scopes! Observing will only take place if skies are clear.

Description
Join us for an exciting night of astronomy! This free event is open to the public and combines a screening of an indie documentary about the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) at 7 pm in Stokes auditorium, a discussion with the filmmaker David Gaynes and visiting HST user Nitya Kallivayalil (Yale), and public observing at Strawbridge Observatory. Weather permitting, we'll be looking at some cool objects through one of Haverford's own telescopes, as well as hosting some local amateur astronomers with their own telescopes.
