Deadlines for Spring '13: April 28
The CPGC is pleased to announce the availability of funding to support Haverford College faculty in their efforts to integrate experiential/service learning or field research into their teaching and mentoring of students.
Eligibility and Guidelines: Through the Faculty/Curricular Support Fund, the CPGC hopes to support a broad range of projects, including:
- Trips held in conjunction with classes
- Service projects/internships carried out by students as part of a class
- Field research by students in a class
- Expenses incurred by faculty related to integrating experiential/service learning or field research components by updating existing courses; developing new courses; and exploring the feasibility of including such components in existing or new courses. Note: Requests for course development support are limited to tenure-line and continuing faculty only.
Support may be requested in the form of expenses to support course projects, such as reimbursement for student travel expenses, funds to hire a work-study student to help coordinate internship placements, reimbursement for the purchase of materials, or funds for course trips.
