Description
The Peace, Justice and Human Rights Program in conjunction with the Distinguished Visitors Program presents a talk by Sam Moyn, Professor of History, Columbia University
Samuel Moyn is a professor of history at Columbia University. His recent book, The Last Utopia: Human Rights in History, challenges us to rethink our ideas about where human rights come from, and what they can mean for us now. He works primarily on modern European intellectual history — with special interests in France and Germany, political and legal thought, historical and critical theory, and Jewish studies — and on the history of human rights.
