April 2, 9:00AM–3:30PM
Organized by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and Political Science Professor Craig Borowiak.
The solidarity economy is a growing global movement that seeks to build alternative economic practices grounded in principles of reciprocity, solidarity, sustainability and participatory democracy. The movement also seeks to build awareness of economic alternatives that already exist; it seeks to change the way we see the economy. This tour will introduce a variety of solidarity economy initiatives already taking place in Philadelphia, and it will encourage participants to build connections between what is taking place locally and the broader solidarity economy movement. Organized by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and Political Science Prof. Craig Borowiak. Space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
