Live performances of her Concerto Study for solo piano and her String Quartet No. III will be featured, with Hannah Albrecht (BMC ’07) at the keyboard, and a talented student ensemble including Evan McGonagill, Inez Suhardjo, Halley Cody and Emilia Marcyk.
Gentile studied with Goffredo Petrassi, and taught for 25 years at Italy’s principal conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome. She has been Artistic Director of Rome's Festival “Nuovi Spazi Musicali” since 1979, is a member of the board of the Venice Biennale for 5 years, and serves as Vice President of the AGIMUS (Italy's national Youth Musical Association).
