Community Conversations is a joint endeavor of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Student Activities Office, and the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship which fosters open dialogue among members of the Haverford College community. Lively, hour-long discussions on contemporary issues will be guided by knowledgeable facilitators, including faculty, staff, students and other special guests.
Community Conversations will be hosted monthly from 12:30pm-1:30pm, with lunch provided. Please note, this month will begin at 12pm. Fall semester events will be held in the CPGC Café (104 Stokes).
This month: Friday, Dec. 4 at 12pm - As part of AIDS Awareness Week, critically-acclaimed, award winning author, Mark Doty will read his poem, "A Display of Mackerel".
A copy of the poem will be available in the office of Multicultural Affairs and the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship from December 1-4.
