Panasonic PTL-701/711 Directions
1.
Connect your laptop to the projector using the
Computer Video cable. Connect one end to
the projector input “RGB 1 IN” and the other end to your laptop.

Remove the lens cap.
3.
Turn on the projector’s “MAIN POWER” switch near
the rear left (this turns on the main
power and cooling fan)
4.
Press the “POWER” button on the top control
panel ONCE (this turns on the projection lamp - Wait: it takes
about 20 seconds for the lamp to warm up)
5.
Press “INPUT” to select the laptop computer
(“RGB1” appears on screen).
6.
Power up your laptop. The image should appear on the projector.
7.
Adjust the height of the projected image with
the height adjustment lever near the lens at the front of the projector.
8.
Adjust the picture size and focus with the ring
and lever at the projector lens.
9.
Push the “AUTO SETUP” button. This will fix any key-stoning problems.
10. No
Image? Press “INPUT” to make sure you
are on “RGB1”. Also, you may have to
adjust your laptop’s settings to get the image onto the projector. On a PC use
the FUNCTION-F key combination (look for
a little TV screen, “LCD” or “display” on the function keys). On a MAC laptop you may have to “arrange the
monitors” and/or turn on video mirroring in the control strip.
Turning
off (very
important)
1.
Press the “POWER” button on the projector’s top
control panel TWICE. (This turns off
the projection lamp)
2.
Replace the lens cap.
3.
Wait until the cooling fan stops
(about 2 minutes).
4.
While you are waiting, shut down the laptop
computer power
5.
After confirming that the projector cooling fan
has stopped, turn off the “MAIN POWER” switch on the side, near the
projector’s power cord.
6.
It is now safe to unplug the power. Return cables and projector to carrying case.

STOP!
Remove the lens cap before turning on the
projector!
If you leave it on it will MELT!
· The lens cap must be removed before turning on the projection lamp.
· Do not replace it until the lamp has been turned off.
Put away the cables!
· Please properly coil both the power cord and the video cable and return them to the front pocket on the carrying bag.
