Computer Projector Cart Directions

 

with Epson 810 or 820p projector

 

Section One: Setting up the cart and projector

1.      Lower the projection screen.

2.      Plug in the cart power using the retractable power cord located below the projector shelf.

3.      Remove the lens cap from the front of the projector

4.      Determine which cart orientation you prefer.  You are able to rotate the projector 90 degrees to change the orientation of the cart:

  

Section Two: Showing a DVD or VIDEO.

 

1.      Press the “POWER” button on the projector’s control panel (this turns on the projection lamp - wait: it takes about 30 seconds for the lamp to warm up)

2.      Use the “Video” button on the projector’s control panel to select the “Video 1” input.  (“VIDEO” appears on the lower left of the screen).

3.      Turn on the DVD/VCR and insert your DVD or VHS tape.

4.      Adjust the height of the projected image with the height adjustment button near the left front of the projector.

5.      Adjust the picture size and focus with the rings at the projector lens.

6.      Adjust any keystoning effect (image not square) with the two “Keystone” buttons on the projector’s control panel.

7.      Adjust the sound volume with the “Volume” control on the projector’s control panel and also the volume knob on the speaker located on the lower shelf of the cart.

8.      The remote for the DVD/VCR is in the cart drawer.  You’ll need the remote when playing a DVD in order to navigate around the DVD’s menus.

Section Three: Using your own laptop computer

 

1.      Connect your laptop to the projector using the Computer Video cable attached to the projector.  Connect the loose end to your laptop’s video output jack.

2.      If you need network access connect one end the Ethernet cable (In the cart drawer if you don’t have your own) to the Ethernet jack on your laptop and the other end to the Ethernet jack on the wall.  The active wall jack is typically marked with a little round red sticker.

Section Four: Using the Remote Mouse

A cable hooked between your laptop and projector allows the projector remote to control your laptop’s mouse pointer movement and mouse clicks.

 

1.      In the cart drawer locate the white USB “Remote Mouse” cable

2.      Plug the small end into the projector’s USB port, marked “Mouse Cable”

3.      Plug the other end into an unused USB port on your laptop computer.

4.      Locate the “Projector Remote” in the cart drawer

5.      Point the remote at the projector

6.      Use the big knob in the middle of the remote to move the mouse pointer on your laptop.

7.      Use the ‘mouse” buttons below to left and right click.

 

Section Five: Turning off (very important)

1.      Press the “POWER” button on the projector’s top control panel TWICE.  (This turns off the projection lamp)

2.      Wait until the cooling fan stops (about 2 minutes).

3.      While you are waiting, shut down your laptop computer power and /or DVD/VHS player power.

4.      Confirm that the projector cooling fan has stopped.

5.      It is now safe to unplug the cart power.

6.      Please retract the power cord into its reel.
