Data/Video Projector Directions

 

1.      Get the Projector remote control and the projector/computer video cable out of the AV closet.

2.      Lower the large projection screen using the “Screen #3” switch below the chalkboard.

3.      Turn on the projector.  Aim the remote control at the projection booth.  Make sure the remote control is on.  There is a power button for the remote on the upper right side.

 

For Computer projection:

 

1.      After the projector has warmed up (about 30 seconds) and illuminates the screen:  On the projector remote push the “Data 2” input select until “RGB2” appears on the screen.

2.      Use the computer video cable from the AV closet to hook your computer to the input plate on wall.

3.      If you need computer audio, hook the audio cable attached to the video cable to your computer and to the “PC audio” input on the wall plate.  Adjust the volume on your laptop.

4.      Make sure the small switch on the wall plate is set correctly, to either “Laptop” or “Desktop”

5.      Power up your laptop.

6.      To get an image on the projector you may have to adjust your laptop’s mirroring settings. On a PC use a FUNCTION-F key combo (look for a little TV screen or “display” on the function keys) to enable the external computer image.  On a MAC laptop you may have to turn on video mirroring in the control strip.

 

For Video projection:

 

1.      Get the VCR on the cart out of the AV closet.

2.      Hook up the video and audio cable from the VCR to the wall plate video inputs.  The red connector is video and the gray is audio.

3.      On projector remote push the “Video 1” input select until “Video 1” appears on the screen.

4.      The volume is preset.  You cannot control it.

 

When you are done:

 

1.      Turn off the projector. You have to push the power button twice to turn it off.  Look at the screen for a prompt.

2.      Raise the projection screen.

3.      Return the remote, VCR, and/or cables to the AV closet.
