Projector Directions -
Please read
Turning on
and set-up: **See
below for using your own laptop**
1.
Lower
the projection screen.
2.
Plug
in the cart power using the retractable power cord.
3.
If
you need network access connect the Ethernet cable on the cart to the
Ethernet jack on the wall. The active
wall jack is typically marked with a little round red sticker.
4.
Remove
the projector lens cover.
5.
Turn
on the projector’s “MAIN POWER” switch on the front, near the projector’s power
cord (this turns on the main power and cooling fan)
6.
Press
the “POWER” button on the top control panel (this turns on the projection lamp
- wait: it takes about 30 seconds for the lamp to warm up)
7.
Press
“INPUT” to select either the VCR (“VIDEO” appears on the screen) or computer
(“RGB1” appears on screen). Turn on the VCR or laptop computer.
8.
Power
up the laptop. The image should appear
on the projector.
9.
Adjust
the height of the image with the “LENS SHIFT” knob on top of the projector.
10.
Adjust
the picture size and focus with the controls on the top of the projector.
11.
Adjust
the sound volume on the speaker at the rear of the cart.
Using your
own laptop computer:
1.
Follow
# 1, 2, and 4 above.
2.
Connect
your laptop to the projector using the Computer Video cable in the cart
drawer. Connect one end to the projector input “RGB
IN/RGB 2” and the other to your laptop.
3.
If
you need network access connect the Ethernet cable (in the drawer if you don’t
have your own) to the Ethernet jack on the wall. The active wall jack is typically marked with
a little round red sticker.
4.
Follow
# 5 and 6 above.
5.
Use
the input selector on the projector to choose “RGB2’ input.
6.
Follow
# 8-10 above
7.
You
may have to adjust your laptop’s settings to get the image onto the projector.
On a PC use the FUNCTION-F3 or FUNCTION-F8 combo (look for a little TV screen
or “display” on the function keys). On a
MAC laptop you may have to turn on video mirroring in the control strip.
Showing a
VIDEO:
1.
Follow
# 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 above.
2.
Press
“INPUT” to select the VCR (“VIDEO” appears on the screen).
3.
Turn
on the VCR and insert your tape.
4.
The
remote for the VCR is in the cart drawer.
Turning
off (very important):
1.
Press
the “POWER” button on the projector’s top control panel (this turns off
the projection lamp)
2.
Wait until the cooling fan stops (about 2 minutes).
3.
While
you are waiting, shut down the laptop computer power.
4.
After
confirming that the projector cooling fan has stopped, turn off the
“MAIN POWER” switch on the front, near the projector’s power cord.
5.
It
is now safe to unplug the cart power.
6.
Replace
the lens cap.
