Videotape duplication

• We can copy tapes to/from from DVD, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi-8, and Mini-DV formats.
  
• We charge for the cost of the blank tape stock.
  
• We observe copyright laws.
• For videotape duplications please just send or drop off the tape, indicate the quantity, and provide an account number to charge. There is usually no need to call first.

Videotape standards conversion - PAL, SECAM, NTSC

• We can copy a tape to/from foreign tape standards

Analog audio duplication

• We can make multiple copies of a standard cassette tape in our monophonic high-speed duplicator. This method is suitable for voice audio.
  
• We can make single copies of high quality material on a standard cassette tape in our standard speed stereo cassette duplicator. This method is suitable for music.
  
• We can copy reel-to-reel audiotapes to standard cassette tapes in limited quantity.
  
• We can copy vinyl records to audiotape in limited quantity.
  
• We charge for the cost of the blank tape stock.
  
• We observe copyright laws.
  

Video Recording

• We can videotape your class, a lecture, or symposium.
  
• We document your event with a single camera. The quality is suitable for archiving and local viewing purposes only. We do not offer broadcast quality videotaping.
  
• We charge for the cost of the blank tape stock.
  
• We may charge for the cost of the camera operator if the event is not directly related to academia or during non-office hours. Please inquire.

Repairs

• We can provide simple repairs to audio visual equipment and/or recommend outside repairs faculties for more complex repair work. Please inquire before sending us equipment.

Purchasing assistance

• We can assist you in purchasing audio visual and instructional technology equipment for your department.
  
• We can research, recommend, purchase, set-up and install equipment for you.

Off-air Recording

• We can record off-air programs for your academic use
• We charge for the cost of the blank tape stock

• We observe copyright laws.

Some of the things we do not do (But are asked to do quite often)

• We do not have the ability to duplicate slides. A good place to start for this service is the Digital Media & Visual Resource Center at Bryn Mawr College.
  
  
• We do not repair personal equipment such as your broken VCR or TV. Tip: If your VCR is broken just go buy a new one. 99% of the time it is cheaper than fixing a broken one. We can recommend local repair shops for repairs or, as in most cases, recommend a place to purchase a new unit.
  
  
• We do not duplicate copyrighted videotapes. Please do not ask us to copy your copyrighted videotape. Just because you purchased the tape does not give you the right to copy it. See the copyright page for more detailed information.
  
  
• We do not provide Audio Visual services for non-college or private events, such as DJ music for your wedding reception or band gear for your party in HCA.
