Haverford Blanks Muhlenberg, 3-0
ALLENTOWN, PA - Freshman outside hitter Rebecca
Salvo recorded a team-high 16 kills to help lead visiting Haverford
College past Centennial Conference opponent Muhlenberg, 3-0, Wednesday
evening. The Fords improved to 14-2 overall and 2-1 in Centennial
play, while the Mules fell to 6-11 and 0-2.
Haverford defeated Muhlenberg by scores of 30-24,
30-19, 30-19. Rebecca Salvo, along with sophomore teammate Lisa
Perkins, each had 15 digs. Rebecca Salvo's twin sister, middle hitter
Rachel Salvo, tallied 12 kills and recorded a .435 hitting percentage
on the evening. Junior setter Emily Hinchcliff had 30 assists and
ten digs, while junior outside hitter Laura Nuyen had a solid match
with 8 kills and 11 digs.
Haverford will next play at Centennial foe Gettysburg on Saturday
at 1:00 p.m.
