Gettysburg Defeats Haverford, 3-0
GETTYSBURG, PA - Visiting Haverford College battled
hard in game one, but were defeated by Centennial opponent and match
host Gettysburg, 3-0 (33-31, 30-19, 30-19) on Saturday. Junior outside
hitter Dana Mullenhard and freshman outside hitter Rachel Salvo
led the Fords with eight kills.
Junior setter Emily Hinchcliff had 26 assists and
16 digs, while junior outside hitter Laura Nuyen and Salvo shared
a team-high with 20 digs. Freshman middle hitter Rachel Salvo tallied
seven kills and 12 digs in the losing effort.
Gettysburg improved to 12-7 overall and 3-0 in Centennial
play, while Haverford fell to 14-3 and 2-2.
The Fords will host Centennial opponent Washington College on Wednesday
at 7:00 p.m.
