Haverford sponsors 21 NCAA Division III teams, a varsity men's squash team, and the only varsity cricket team in the country. Over 40% of Haverford's students compete on a varsity team.
In order to support each student-athlete's pursuit of both academic and athletic excellence, Haverford's days and weeks are structured to minimize conflicts between academic and athletic commitments. No classes are scheduled between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Haverford's long tradition of successful student-athletes proves that students can compete successfully at the varsity level, even on more than one team, participate in extra curricular activities and excel in one of the most demanding academic programs in the country.
