Amar '07 & Elton '07 Named Scholar-Athletes;
Haverford Also Wins All-Academic Team Award
Three Haverford College women's tennis players have been named Division III Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Priya Amar '07 and Margot Elton '07 each earned the distinction. The Fords also earned an ITA All-Academic Team Award. more...

Fords Take Bite Out of Bears with 8-1 Season Finale Win
Haverford head women's tennis coach Ann Koger's
team finished its 2007 season with a convincing 8-1 win over visiting
Centennial Conference foe Ursinus Tuesday afternoon. Seniors Sarah
Loeffler, Alex Glickman and Priya Amar capped off their careers
at Haverford with wins this afternoon. Loeffler was a winner at
number two doubles with freshman teammate Karen Lavi, and also
took home a win at number four singles. Glickman and Amar won
convincingly at number one doubles, while Glickman won at number
one singles. The Fords finish their 2007 campaign with a 5-11
overall record and a 3-7 mark against Centennial competition.

Haverford Falls to #17 Swarthmore, 8-1
The freshman number three doubles team of
Jaclyn Porter and Fumiko Shogase defeated Rebecca Committo and
Kearney Bangs, 8-4 to record Haverford's only team point in a
8-1 Centennial Conference women's tennis loss to 17th-ranked Swarthmore

Haverford Blanks McDaniel, 9-0
Freshman Fumiko Shogase did not lose a game
to lead Haverford to a two-hour twenty minute 9-0 victory over
host McDaniel in Centennial Conference women’s tennis action
on Saturday. The Fords improve to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in Centennial
competition with the win, while the Green Terror fall to 0-7 overall
and in Centennial play. more...

Fords Fly Over Owls, 8-1
The Haverford women's tennis team earned its
first Centennial Conference victory Tuesday afternoon with a 8-1
win over host Bryn Mawr Tuesday afternoon. Seniors Alex Glickman
and Priya Amar accounted for three of the Fords eight team points
with wins at numbers one and two singles, respectively, and at
number one doubles. Haverford improves to 3-9 overall and 1-5
in Centennial competition while Bryn Mawr falls to 3-11 and 1-5.
