Haverford Falls to St. Scholastica, 8-1
ORLANDO, FL - Haverford women's tennis fell
to the College of St. Scholastica, 8-1 Tuesday morning in Orlando,
Florida. The Fords fall to 1-3 overall with the loss while the
Huskies improve to 2-5 with the win.
Haverford senior Alexandria Glickman accounted for the Fords lone
point by recording her first win of the 2007 season at number
one singles, defeating St. Scholastica senior Jessica Rich (7-6,
6-2). Freshman Karen Lavi fell just short in her singles match
at number three, falling 7-6, 6-4. Glickman and senior teammate
Priya Amar also battled closely at number one doubles but were
defeated, 8-7, by Rich and her Huskies teammate Lindsey Shoden.
The Fords close out their spring break trip with a 8:00 match
against Colby-Sawyer on Thursday.
