HAVERFORD, PA - The Haverford College
women's tennis team, shorthanded due to multiple injuries, fell
to Centennial Conference opponent Gettysburg, 9-0 Saturday afternoon
at Haverford. Senior Priya Amar and freshman Jaclyn Porter took
their opponents to third set tiebreakers at number one and three
singles, respectively, but each fell short in their attempts to
put the Fords on the board. Gettysburg improves
to 2-3 overall and in Centennial play on the season with the win,
while Haverford dips to 2-8 and 0-4. The Fords will travel to
nationally ranked Centennial opponent Johns Hopkins on Friday
for a 4:00 p.m. match.
