HAVERFORD, PA - The Haverford women's tennis
team fell to visiting Franklin & Marshall, 6-3 Saturday afternoon
in Centennial Conference women's tennis action. The Fords were
able to take two of three doubles matches, but were only able
to capture one of the six possible doubles points. Haverford falls
to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in Centennial play, while Franklin &
Marshall improves to 5-2 and 2-0.
The senior duo on Alex Glickman and Priya Amar won at number one
doubles, 8-5. Freshmen Jaclyn Porter and Fumiko Shogase were victorious
at number three doubles, 8-4, over the Diplomats Erica Wood and
Christina Henkel. Freshman Karen Lavi captured the Fords lone
win in singles, defeating Wood 6-4, 6-3.
Haverford will take on New York University in non-conference action
on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Match Results
