Men's Tennis Competes at Swarthmore

SWARTHMORE, PA - 11 Haverford players participated in singles & doubles competition this past weekend at Swarthmore College. Other teams involved were Division I Temple & Delaware, plus Division III Swarthmore and The College of New Jersey.

Haverford doubles teams of Tom Kinrade/Evan Stiegel, Alex Buxbaum/Kellan Webb, and Jeff Monhait/Penn Tong all won one of two doubles matches.

Haverford singles players winning one of two singles matches were Tom Kinrade, Steve Feder, Jeff Monhait, & Penn Tong. Marc Rudolph won singles matches over Spencer of Temple and D'Golia of Swarthmore to reach the finals of Flight 7, losing to Chafitz of Delaware 7-5, 6-0. Alex Buxbaum defeated Gegenheimer of Temple & Wallwork of Swarthmore to reach the finals of Flight 3 and won the championship of Flight 3 over Eric Ferriere of TCNJ, 6-2, 6-3.

Haverford next faces Princeton at home on Wednesday, Sept 27 at 4:00 p.m.
