Since Walts’ arrival a number of Haverford teams have experienced unprecedented success. Men’s lacrosse won its first conference title in 2010 and has been an NCAA tournament participant each of the last three seasons while field hockey and women’s lacrosse earned their first-ever berths in the Centennial Conference tournament in the 2009-10 school year and both won their first round games. The volleyball program won three consecutive Centennial Conference titles under Walts’ supervision while the baseball team advanced to the Centennial championship series in two of the last three seasons.
In addition to his work with Haverford student-athletes and community members Walts is also involved in a number of endeavors at the College. Walts also teaches several classes within the fitness and physical education program every quarter.
Walts graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca (N.Y.) College in 2005 with a major in clinical exercise science and a general business minor.
