Squash men win home-opener over Swarthmore

10/31/09 – The 2009-10 season began with a strong victory for the men's squash team over Swarthmore
HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's squash team opened their 2009-10 season with a 7-2 win over visiting Swarthmore College Saturday afternoon.
Haverford (1-0), playing in Damon Leedale-Brown's first match as head coach, rolled to the opening victory capturing 22 games compared to just 12 by Swarthmore (0-1) over nine matches.
Andrew Wee ended up providing the winning point for Haverford with his 3-0 shutout over Weston Honicker at No. 7.
Other winners for the Fords were Zef Konst, Jake Ralston, Alex Spiliotes, Chris Tyson and Tim Ibbotson-Sindelar.
Next up for the Fords men will be a Nov. 7 match at Vassar.
