2009 Haverford College Baseball Golf Classic

The Haverford College baseball program held its inaugural golf outing on Monday, June 8 at Pine Hill Golf Club in Pine Hill, N.J. Forty-five alumni, parents, coaches, family and friends participated in the golf outing, which looks to become an annual event.
The threesome of Kevin Morgan, Bill Stiles and Chris Guiton ’96 won the scramble format with a score of eight under par and Guiton offered the highlight of the event with a hole-in-one on his first shot of the day. The foursome of Jeremy Berman ’98, Kevin Schroeder ’99, Brian Walter ’97 and Matt Essman finished second with a score of seven under par, while Dan Crowley ’90, John Stephenson ’88, Frank Tauriello ’88 and Mike Petrone ’89 formed the third-place team at four under par.
Jeremy Berman ’98 earned “closest to the pin honors” with his tee shot to the par 3 14th hole, and Mark Naples ’84 won the “long drive” competition.
