Carluccio wins Mid-Atlantic region gold glove

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Shortstop Charlie Carluccio of the Haverford College baseball team was one of nine players to receive the American Baseball Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region Rawlings Gold Glove Award on Monday.
Carluccio played superb defense in his second season as the Fords’ starting shortstop. He sported a .944 fielding percentage making just nine errors in 162 chances, recording 42 putouts and a team-leading 111 assists. Carluccio started the season committing just two errors in his first 15 games at short and finished the season with only one in his final 10 games.
