Wettick named all-conference in singles

LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore Katie Wettick of the Haverford College women’s tennis team was named All-Centennial Conference in singles as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Wettick went 12-5 overall this spring and 8-2 in Centennial action, playing every match at the No. 1 position. From March 12 through April 10 she won seven consecutive matches, with six coming in conference play. Wettick closed out the regular season with a straight set victory over Johns Hopkins’ Carolyn Warren, who is ranked fourth in the region.
The sophomore helped the Fords clinch their first Centennial Conference playoff berth and they will take on top-seed Hopkins on Saturday at 11 a.m.
