Forty winter student-athletes named to Centennial Academic Honor Roll

04/03/09 - Men’s basketball and men’s and women’s indoor track & field had the most honorees in their respective sports.
LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference announced that 234 student-athletes were named to the Winter Academic Honor Roll on Thursday. Forty of those who made the honor roll hail from Haverford College. Men’s basketball and men’s and women’s indoor track & field had the most honorees in their respective sports.
Doug Edelman, Dave Nowacki, Sam Permutt, Greg Rosnick and Alex Schwada made the honor roll from the men’s basketball team. Rosnick was also an honorable mention all-conference selection.
Kathleen Abels, Elizabeth Mayell and Meaghan Ryan got the nod from the women’s basketball team.
The men’s indoor track & field team had 19 make the honor roll. Paul Bisceglio, Mark Burgmann, Taylor Burmeister, Joseph Carpenter, Eric Chesterton, Michael Hildner, Anders Hulleberg, Morgan Kist, Andrew Lanham, Richard Marsico, Zachary Needell, Dan O’Toole, Jason Oaks, Nick Reynolds, Chris Southwick, Elias Tousley, Garrett Vanacore, Benjamin Walker and Andrew Wei all represented the Fords. Burmeister and O’Toole both earned all-conference honors at the Centennial championship.
The women’s indoor track & field team had 13 named to the honor roll. Jessie Belden, Heidi Bretscher, Maya Cabot, Kaia Davis, Lena Edelstein, Jackie Freund, Harper Hubbeling, Darian Lunne, Mara Miller, Hilary Mislan Margaret, Morrison, Eliza Reiss and Elizabeth Welch made the list. Belden was the Most Outstanding Field Performer at the Centennial championship. Lunne, Reiss and Welch were named all-conference.
