Men’s squash falls in consolation final to the Golden Bears, 5-4

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College men's squash team narrowly lost their consolation championship match, 5-4, to Cal-Berkeley on Sunday at the College Squash Association Team Championships.
Seniors Jeff Monhait, Adil Khan, Eric Lundquist and Jeremy Sanders all won for the Fords.
Both Monhait and Khan took their opponents in straight sets. Monhait was nearly flawless with a 9-1, 9-0, 9-0 victory over Cal’s Arbi Vartan.
At the No. 9 spot, Sanders pulled out a 10-8, 1-9, 10-8, 9-1 victory over Cal’s Kedar Viswanathan.
Playing at No. 6, senior Zef Konst battled his way with wins in the first two games, but was defeated in the final three games.
The loss ends Haverford’s season with a 6-10 record.
