Men's Squash Flattens Lafayette, 9-0
HAVERFORD, PA - The Haverford men's
squash team got back on the winning track Friday evening with
a lopsided, 9-0, win over visiting Lafayette. The Fords improved
to 2-2 overall with the win.
Haverford junior Alex Salton defeated Lafayette's Jeremy Turner
(9-2, 9-0, 9-1) at number one, and junior Jason Bazarsky topped
Ian McClintick (9-6, 9-0, 9-2) at number two. Sophomore Evan Stiegel
easily topped Mike Leff at number three (9-1, 9-0, 9-0), while
senior Mike Montesano bested Tarnsh Aqarwal (9-1, 9-1, 9-1) at
number four. Sophomore Adil Khan defeated Reed Edwards (9-1, 9-0,
9-4) at number five, and sophomore Alex Buxbaum took care of Akhil
Daswani (9-2, 9-2, 9-1) at number six. Sophomores Karan Shah and
David Bamat won at numbers six and seven, respectively (9-0, 9-6,
9-3 and 9-2, 9-2, 9-1). Freshman Matt Dooley recorded his first
victory of the season at number nine with a 9-3, 9-0, 9-2 win
at number nine over Eric Grotz.
Haverford will take on Washington at
home on December 1st at 8:00 p.m.
