Haverford Duals With Elizabethtown to 1-1 Tie
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – Visiting Haverford
College battled host Elizabethtown College to a 1-1 tie Wednesday
afternoon in non-conference women’s soccer action. The Fords
overall record moves to 5-7-2 while the Blue Jays go to 9-3-2.
Haverford junior defender Hana Rosen opened the scoring with her
first goal of the season. With 8:51 left, Rosen took a corner
kick off the foot of sophomore forward Annie Turner to give the
Fords a 1-0 lead. The score would remain 1-0 until Elizabethtown’s
Elyse Campbell netted a disputed goal with 4:45 left in the contest.
After two overtime periods, the well played contest ended in a
1-1 draw.
Haverford sophomore goalie Lindsay Festa made 14 saves in the
game.
The Fords will return to action Saturday at home against Centennial
Conference opponent Gettysburg at 3:00 p.m.
