HCAA: Community Service
Community service is a vital component of student life at Haverford College. More than 50% of the campus participates in some sort of community service project each year.
The HCAA, which is the college's student-athlete advisory committee, helps to coordinate community service projects among Haverford's student-athletes. The HCAA's expectations for community service are...
- Each varsity team chooses a community service representative. The community service representative is responsible for reporting any individual student-athlete community service efforts to the HCAA.
- Each varsity team is expected to complete at least one team-wide community service project each year. The community service representative is expected to organize this effort.
- All of the varsity teams are expected to combine efforts on one large community service project each year. This project can be for the benefit of the Haverford College community or the local, surrounding community.
