10/29/05 Haverford 2, Bryn Mawr 1 (2OT, susp., 3-2 in penalty strokes, Fri.)
Dickinson 6, Haverford 1 (Sat.)

CARLISLE -- Abby Scattergood scored the only goal for Haverford (5-13, 2-8) after host Dickinson built a 4-0, second-half lead that included the first two of three goals in the game by Katie Austin.

Sarah Newton had a goal and three assists for the Red Devils (3-14, 2-8).
Fords senior Amie Roe made six saves in her final goalkeeping appearance, while the Red Devils' Katlin Harker made seven saves in the game that was balanced statistically, except for the final score. Dickinson enjoyed a 13-8 edge in shots taken, and an 8-7 advantage in penalty corners.

Late Friday, Haverford completed last week's suspended double-overtime game with Bryn Mawr, and won on a tie-breaking series of penalty strokes, 3-2. Colleen Farrell broke a 2-all tie on the final stroke after Meeran Ahn and Sarah Graves had rallied the Fords from a 2-0 deficit created on the Owls' first two attempts.

10/27/05 McDaniel 5, Haverford 0

HAVERFORD -- Haverford senior goalkeeper Amie Roe made 11 saves in her final appearance on Class of 1888 Field, but McDaniel (4-11, 1-5) scored three goals in the first half and two after intermission by Carolanne Bianco.

The Fords (4-12, 1-7) will host Bryn Mawr at 5 p.m. today in a tie-breaking series of penalty strokes to complete last week's suspended game with the Owls (2-13, 0-8).

10/25/05 Swarthmore 3, Haverford 1

SWARTHMORE -- Abby Scattergood gave the Fords (4-11, 1-6) an early 1-0 lead, but two goals by the host Garnet (8-7, 4-4) in the final 5:41 of the first half diminished the visitors' upset hopes.

Amie Roe made nine saves and allowed a lone second half goal to account for the final margin in the year's first Hood Trophy contest.

10/20/05 Cabrini 4, Haverford 3 (2OT)

HAVERFORD -- Colleen Farrell rallied Haverford from a 3-1 second-half deficit with a pair of goals assisted by Jen Chu 2:24 apart, but a successful penalty stroke by Ann Tye of Cabrini decided the outcome with 9:54 left in the second extra period.

Sarah Walker had evened the halftime score at 1-all on a Meeran Ahn feed after Cabrini's Meg Farrell opened the scoring. Amie Roe made seven saves in goal during the game and Heather Shafi had one defensive save in overtime for the Fords (4-10).

For the Cavs (9-7), Tye scored two goals and Joanne Musiolowski made nine saves, including four in the first 15-minute, 7-on-7 overtime period.

10/18/05 Haverford 1, Bryn Mawr 1 (2OT, game suspended, darkness)

HAVERFORD -- Haverford's Katie Norton scored on a Colleen Farrell assist late in the first half, but Bryn Mawr's Ashley Dawkins put back a deflected shot 1:45 after halftime and sent Tuesday's game into two scoreless 15-minute overtime periods.

The Fords (4-9, 1-5 entering the contest) outshot the Owls (2-11, 0-6) by a 9-3 margin in the extra 30 minutes of 7-on-7 play, but none of the hosts' shots found the back of the cage. Darkness prevented a series of game-deciding strokes, so unless Centennial Conference officials decide that the suspended game must resume, the final result may ultimately be ruled a tie.

Goalie Amie Roe made one save in each period and four total for Haverford, while Rachel Brady made eight saves, including five in overtime, for Bryn Mawr.

10/15/05 Johns Hopkins 2, Haverford 0

HAVERFORD -- Lucy Webster scored a goal with 12:39 left in the first half and Amy Soergel added an insurance marker with 6:08 left in the game for the visiting Blue Jays (8-5, 5-1).

Haverford goalie Amie Roe made 12 saves for the Fords (4-9, 1-5), including eight in the first half.

10/8/05 Ursinus 7, Haverford 1

COLLEGEVILLE -- Abby Scattergood scored a second-half goal for the Fords (4-8, 1-4) Saturday afternoon, after the host Bears (9-1, 5-0) built a 7-0 lead that was 5-0 at the half.

Amie Roe made seven of her 10 saves before intermission, facing 17 shots and nine penalty corners in the first 35 minutes.

10/6/05 Haverford 5, Goucher 0

HAVERFORD -- Abby Scattergood, Emily Buniva, Sarah Walker and Zoe Lloyd scored first-half goals for host Haverford, which outshot non-conference guest Goucher by a 15-1 margin Thursday.

Cassie West added a goal for the Fords (4-7) on a Vicky Mui assist early in the second half, and Colleen Farrell and Barbara Breckinridge rounded out the scoring with assists on the goals by Buniva and Walker, respectively.

Haverford goalie Amie Roe stopped the only Goucher shot she faced, while Kelsey Havens made seven saves for the Gophers (0-9).

10/4/05 Washington (Md.) 1, Haverford 0

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Molly Gavin scored the only goal of the game early in the second half to give host Washington (Md.) a 1-0 Centennial Conference field hockey victory over visiting Haverford Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, Gavin fired in a loose ball over Haverford (3-7, 1-3) goalkeeper Amie Roe with 28:05 remaining in the second half. The Shorewomen (3-8, 2-3) held a 12-2 advantage in shots in the game, including a 7-0 advantage in the second half. The Fords held a 7-4 edge in penalty corners, but Washington recorded three of its four penalty corners after intermission.

Washington sophomore goalkeeper Erin O'Brien made one save in the shutout. Roe made six saves for Haverford, while Emily Dillon made a pair of defensive saves for the Fords.

10/1/05 #18 Gettysburg 6, Haverford 1

HAVERFORD -- Zoe Lloyd put back the deflected save of a penalty corner shot in the final seconds of the first half, but the host Fords could not overcome three scores in each half by the Bullets, ranked 18th in this week's national Division III coaches' poll.

Bridget Seidel and Meg Goddu each scored two goals for Gettysburg (7-3, 3-0).
Amie Roe made seven saves in goal for the Fords (3-6, 1-2).

9/28/05 Haverford 2, Muhlenberg 1

HAVERFORD -- Led by sophomore Sarah Walker's successful second-half penalty stroke, Haverford defeated Centennial Conference visitor Muhlenberg (6-4, 1-1) Tuesday.

Walker broke a 1-1 deadlock on a penalty shot with 7:08 remaining in the game. The Fords (3-5, 1-1) had grabbed an early lead on a blast by soph Jen Chu 3:57 into the game, which was answered less than eight minutes later on a Mules tip-in by LisaAnn Polt, assisted by Adrienne Verbich.

Senior goalkeeper Amie Roe anchored the Haverford defense with a 10-save performance as her team was outshot, 15-6.

9/24/05 #11 Franklin & Marshall 5, Haverford 0

LANCASTER -- Samantha Bentley, Allison Barthold, Brittany Croll, Lauren Wasp and Taylor Blazewski all scored goals for the 11th-ranked Diplomats (7-1, 1-0) in the Centennial Conference opening game for both teams.

Haverford senior goalkeeper Amie Roe made 11 saves for the visiting Fords (2-5, 0-1), while Lindsay Klimik and Michelle Altman shared time in net to earn a shutout for the Dips.

9/21/05 Stevens Tech 1, Haverford 0 (OT)

HAVERFORD -- Beth Rychcik gave the visiting Ducks (5-1) the win when she banked a shot off the leg pads of Haverford goalie Amie Roe 1:10 into 7-on-7 overtime.

Roe made 11 saves during the first 70 minutes, and first-year defenders Julia McGuire and Bianca Bromberger added defensive saves from their field positions for the Fords (2-4).

9/18/05 Seven Sisters Tournament at Wellesley

Final Round
Haverford 2, Bryn Mawr 1
Mount Holyoke 7, Elms 1
Smith 3, Vassar 0
Wellesley 3, Swarthmore 2

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Sophomore Abby Scattergood scored a pair of second-half goals, including the game-winner with 3.9 seconds left in regulation, as Haverford rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit versus Bryn Mawr Sunday.

Ana Marcinia had given the Owls (1-5) the lead 23:25 into the contest on an assist by all-tournament defender Amy Johnson. Scattergood knotted the score with an unassisted goal with 23:54 left in the second half, then scored her decisive tally on an assist by frosh Bianca Bromberger.

Haverford senior goalie Amie Roe was honored as an all-tournament selection for the weekend despite making only one save Sunday as the Fords (2-3) outshot their Main Line rivals, 12-2 overall, and 7-0 in the second half. Nicole Huynh made 10 saves for the Owls.

9/17/05 Seven Sisters Tournament at Wellesley

First Round
Vassar 1, Haverford 0
Consolation Semifinals
Mount Holyoke 4, Haverford 1

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Emma Bartlett scored on an Abby Scattergood assist early in the second half against Mount Holyoke, but the Fords (1-3) could not recover from a 2-0 halftime deficit in the consolation semifinals against the Lyons (3-1).

In Saturday morning's opener, Vassar's Catherine Twardy got the game's only goal in spite of Amie Roe, who made 17 saves in goal for Haverford.

9/8/05 Haverford 3, Immaculata 1

HAVERFORD -- Frosh Zoe Lloyd scored 6:07 into the game, then assisted sophomore Sarah Walker's eventual game-winner late in the first half as host Haverford (1-1) earned its first win for interim head coach Stacey Montgomery.

Montgomery is filling in for MaryAnn Foley Schiller, who will remain on maternity leave until the end of the season.

The Mighty Macs (1-1) had tied the score on a Alexandra Likanchuk goal only 71 seconds before Walker's tally with 11:25 left in the first half. Soph Abby Scattergood scored on a penalty corner three minutes after halftime for the Fords' final margin of victory. Haverford senior goalie Amie Roe was called upon to make only three saves on five shots by Immaculata, whose own Bridget Dougherty made seven of her 10 saves in a frantic first half.

9/6/05 Gwynedd-Mercy 2, Haverford 1 (OT)

GWYNEDD VALLEY -- Goalkeeper Amie Roe made 9 of her 14 saves in the second half and Emily Buniva tied the scored in regulation on an assist from Jen Chu, but the Fords fell victim to the host Griffins (1-2) in their opener Tuesday.

GMC's Janine Reiner scored an unassisted goal 7:17 into overtime to gain the decision over the Fords (0-1), who next host Immaculata Thursday at 4 p.m.
