Seniors Jen Chu, Katie Meyers, and Heather Shafi
have been named tri-captains of the 2006 Haverford field hockey
team.
Chu played all 18 games at the attack position for the Fords in
2005 and will look to pace the Haverford attack this fall. Chu
tallied one goal and three assists for five points last fall.
Meyers and Shafi will lead the Fords midfield
and defense, respectively. Both Meyers and Shafi played in all
18 games last season and together recorded 12 defensive saves.
Shafi’s nine defensive saves in 2005 led the Centennial
Conference. As a team Haverford tallied a conference-high 21 defensive
saves.
