Swan Field
Completed in September 2008, Swan Field serves as a competition site for field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse as well as a practice site for the aforementioned teams and men's and women's soccer, baseball and softball. Swan Field has a synthetic FieldTurf surface used by a number of professional and collegiate teams throughout the country. The use of lights expands both practice and competition opportunities and aids in the reduction of missed class time by allowing flexibility in scheduling games and practices no longer limited by daylight hours. Johnson Track
The eight-lane 400-meter all purpose Johnson Track features full field event and steeplechase capabilities and encircles Walton Field.
Walton Field
Walton Field is a grass playing surface that hosts men’s and women’s soccer in the fall and men’s lacrosse in the spring. Walton Field features a grandstand with a capacity of 1,000, press box and filming deck.
Class of '16 Field and Roy Randall Diamond
Class of '16 Field has undergone $200,000 in improvements over the past five years. Improvements include an infield sprinkler system, windscreen for the outfield fence, synthetic turf for the two batting cages and a press box installed in the 2008 season.
Class of '95 Field
The Class of '95 Field has undergone at least one major renovation project in each of the last five years. With the installation of a new fence, backstop, personalized windscreen, bullpens, batting cage, dugouts and a newly reconstructed playing surface, Haverford's field stands out as a premier softball facility in the Centennial Conference.
Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts
Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts feature 12 all-weather courts with six on Marshall and six on Bramall.
Douglas B. Gardner '83 Integrated Athletic Center (GIAC)
Opened in October 2005, the Douglas B. Gardner '83 Integrated Athletic Center is an aesthetically pleasing 100,000-square-foot complex that encourages and enhances athletic participation with state-of-the-art fitness, exercise, and training facilities.
Calvin Gooding '84 Arena
The 1,200 seat Calvin Gooding '84 Arena opened in October 2005. It features three full wood-floor courts for basketball and volleyball that includes two courts across the main playing floor and the Kannerstein Pavilion which is a full-length court that allows for multiple teams to practice in the arena at the same time.
GIAC Squash Courts
Located on the main level of the GIAC are five international squash courts which are the home of Haverford men’s and women’s squash.
Fencing Salle
The fencing salle is located on the second floor of the GIAC and features five fencing strips for varsity practice and instruction. The fencing team hosts home meets in the Alumni Field House.
Arn '76 and Nancy Tellem Fitness Center
The core of the college's strength and conditioning work occurs in the Arn '76 and Nancy Tellem Fitness Center, a 7,200-square-foot resource for varsity teams and the college community alike. The fitness center has about 100 different workout options, including free weights, exercise bicycles, and cardiovascular and strength training machines.
Swan Multipurpose Room
The Swan Multipurpose Room is located on the second floor of the GIAC and is used primarily for physical education classes and department functions.
Alumni Field House
Donated by alumni and friends of the college in 1957, Alumni Field House provides extensive facilities for athletics and recreation. Renovated in 1984 and 1997, the floor was resurfaced in 2008 as a premiere competition site for tennis and track & field. The four-lane Haddleton Track includes several pits for jumping and pole-vaulting. The Field House also contains a batting cage and a playing field for such sports as field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, baseball and softball.
