Haverford Places Second at Dickinson Long/Short Invitational
Haverford College placed second overall Saturday
afternoon at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational. The Fords placed
second, despite Haverford head men's cross country coach Tom Donnelly
giving his top runners the weekend off. As a team, Haverford totaled
69 points, finishing behind first place Carnegie-Mellon with 51
points. Invitational host Dickinson placed third with 137 points.
Freshman Ben Frisbee was the Fords top runner in the 4k race, placing
fourth in 12:29.80. Freshman Andrew Lanham and sophomore Taylor
Burmeister also placed seventh and 20th in 12:33.57 and 12:53.87,
respectively.
Senior runner Mike Grant led Haverford in the 8k race, placing fourth
in 26:47.57. Senior Jim DuPont finished 15th in 27:13.69. Sophomore
Daniel O'Toole and junior Ben Marsden completed the race in 23rd
and 25th place in 27:28.33 and 27:37.87, respectively.
