lead Haverford past Albion 6-3 in non-conference baseball action
Thursday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida. Haverford is now 6-1
overall on the season and has extended its winning streak to six

Haverford scored two runs in the top of the first inning before
Wilcox blasted a solo home run off the top of the fence to give
the Fords a 3-1 lead after one and a half innings of play. Albion
scored another run in the bottom of the third to cut its deficit
to 3-2, but Haverford senior third baseman Ryan Stephens hit a sacrifice
fly in the top of the fourth inning to plate senior catcher Kenny
McAlpine to increase the Fords lead back to two runs, 4-2. Up 5-3
in the top of the seventh inning, Einbinder gave the Fords an insurance
run, blasting his program-leading 26th career home run over the
right center field fence to make the score 6-3.
Senior pitcher John Castronova pitched the final 2 1/3 innings and
struck out four Albion batters to earn the save. Freshman pitcher
Adam Lewis started the game on the mound for Haverford and posted
a quality start allowing three runs (two earned) and scattering
six hits over 6 2/3 innings pitched. Lewis and Castronova allowed
