2007 Women's Cross Country Outlook;
Haverford Picked Second in Centennial Preseason Poll
The Haverford women's cross country team was picked second in the Centennial Conference preseason poll released this week. Head coach Fran Rizzo's squad totaled 71 points, with one first-place vote in the poll. The Fords are second behind Dickinson, who led the polls with 81 points and nine first place votes and have won seven straight Centennial championships. more...

Fords Place Second at NCAA Regional;
Qualify for Division III National Championships
Junior Annick Lamar paced Haverford College
to its second straight second-place finish at the NCAA Mideast
Regional Saturday in Waynesburg, PA. With its success at today's
Regional, Haverford has qualified for the 2006 NCAA Division III
National Championships for the fourth time over the past five
seasons. Lamar finished fourth overall in the 6k race in a team-best
23:41. The Fords (104 points) only finished behind one team, Centennial
Conference team Dickinson (49 points),
and had six runners place in the top 40 in the race.

Cross Country Teams Prepare for NCAA Regionals
Volleyball is not the only Haverford team making an appearance
in an NCAA Regional event this fall. Like in many fall seasons
of the past, the Haverford men's and women's cross country squads
will look to maintain their years of dominance in its respective
NCAA Regional events this Saturday in Waynesburg, Pa. Head coach
Tom Donnelly and his men's cross country team will be looking
to bring home its fourth consecutive NCAA Mideast Regional crown,
and its seventh Regional title over the past eight seasons. Fran
Rizzo's women's cross country team is hungry for its first ever
top finish, and seventh straight finish in the top four. more...
